Google has launched the latest Pixel smartphones, version 8. Besides the new Tensor chip and Android 14, the most notable innovations are the temperature sensor on the back of the Pixel 8 Pro and the Best Take option in Google Photos.
With the temperature sensor you can easily measure the temperature of an object. Is the pan hot enough, or is the milk in the baby bottle at the right temperature? There is also an application with the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) to have the app measure your temperature and then save it in Fitbit to see if you have a fever.
Also spectacular is the option to replace a face in a (group) photo with a previously taken photo of the face. For example, if someone in a group photo looks the other way or makes a funny face, you can choose this face from the photos you have previously taken of that face and replace the face.
